“We know your secret agreement with Atiku”, presidency tells Peter Obi

Presidential spokesperson, Daniel Bwala has claimed that the presidency is aware of an agreement between Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Daniel Bwala who spoke extensively in an interview whose video clips he shared on his YouTube channel, claimed that Peter Obi has accepted to be Atiku Abubakar’s vice presidential candidate in the 2027 presidential election. He said Peter Obi accepted the offer as a path to his becoming Nigeria’s president as Atiku has assured him that he will only rule for a single tenure and will thereafter allow Obi succeed him.

Daniel Bwala stated that the presidency is aware of such a plot by the members of the coalition. He however boasted that the coalition can not prevent president Bola Ahmed Tinubu from his winning his reelection in 2027.

Daniel Bwala’s recent claims supports earlier publication by the Punch Newspaper about Peter Obi accepting to be Atiku Abubakar’s vice president in 2027.

Both Peter Obi and his supporters known as the Obidient movement had denied such a report. Obi’s supporters have made it known that he will not deputize anyone in 2027. Some prominent members of his Obidient movement have also declared that they stand to work against Peter Obi in 2027 should he decide to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate.

Also, Peter Obi had in reaction to the outrage the publication generated, declared that he will contest for the president in 2027 on the platform of his current political party, the Labour Party.
