Sowore alleges Peter Obi and Tinubu had secret agreement, gives reason

Controversial activist for good governance and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoleye Sowore has in his reaction to Peter Obi, Kayode Fayemi and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu meeting up in Rome, insinuated that Peter Obi and Tinubu had a secret pact.
Sowore whose recent public utterances have been increasingly cynical of Peter Obi took to his X handle on the 18th of May to react to pictures of Nigeria’s president and Peter Obi, taken at the installation of Pope Leo XIV.
He insinuated that Peter Obi’s mien in the pictures reflect his hidden agreement with president Bola Ahmed. He described Peter Obi as Tinubu’s younger partner in crime, suggesting that they are determined to mislead the general public presumably about Peter Obi working for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to destabilize meaningful actions by the Nigeria citizens to hold president Bola Ahmed Tinubu accountable in view of his underperforming administration.
He tweeted: “The Barabbas Coalition General Meeting in Rome Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT meets his younger partners-in-crime, @PeterObi (with Obi grinning from ear to ear), and @kfayemi; they can only deceive the foolish and unwary! #RevolutionNow”
Sowore’s continuous attack on the opposition parties’ figures have been adjudge by some political analysts as being strange and unprecedented. The 2023 presidential aspirant is accused of criticizing his fellow opposition figures more than he does to the ruling party. He has consistently antagonized every move made by Peter Obi, labelling him as an opportunist who rides on the euphoria of Nigeria’s desperation for his specious promise of political salvation for Nigerians.
Also, Sowore has constantly criticized major political moves by the opposition figures to consolidate ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The vociferous activist cum politician, criticized former vice president Atiku Abubakar and former governor Nasir El-rufai for their move to unite the opposition parties into a coalition that would formidably challenge president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
His cynical stance on actions carried out by opposition parties and figures have made some wonder if he is not working for the ruling party to destabilize calculated moves by Nigerians to hold Tinubu’s administration to account.
