Simon Ekpa slammed with new charges by Finland government

Embattled self-proclaimed Prime minister of Biafra government in exhile, Mazi Simon Ekpa has been slammed with new charges by the Finnish authority.

Simon Ekpa who has been in detention since his arrest on 21st of November, 2025 over offences related to his Biafra agitation in Finland, has been charged by the Finnish authority with inciting terr0rism in Nigeria in his sought for an independent state of Biafra.

Speaking over Simon Ekpa’s charges, the prosecutor revealed that the accused will remain in custody and his application for bail denied.

This development comes in view of the Nigerian leadership disclosure that the controversial Biafra nation agitator will be extradited from Finland and tried in a Nigerian court.

However, the Finnish authority has not made any remark over the effort by the Nigerians government to extradite Mr. Ekpa.

Recall that Mazi Simon Ekpa through his social accounts, advocated against the Nigeria’s 2023 general elections with his declaration: No Election in Biafra land. The Biafra nation agitator is also accused of running militia groups across that the five southeast sates of the federation. These groups who identified as Biafra nation fighters, enforced a mandatory sit-at-home across the five southeast states every Monday. Violators of the sit-at-home were usually melted out with vi@lence, their properties vandalized and sometimes left with life-threatening injuries.

Simon Ekpa came into public limelight describing himself as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s disciple in the actualization of independent state of Biafra.
