Nyesom Wike reveals why he is carrying his two son about

Former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has reacted to the outrage generated by his going about his official duties with his two sons:Joaquin and Jordan

A few days ago, the two sons of the minister of the FCT sparked outrage on social media by their lavish lifestyle as well as their frequent appearances with father at public functions.

Nyesom Wike while speaking to BBC Pigin in an interview monitored by the Reliant Nigeria News and which is yet to be released, insinuated that he is grooming his two sons: Joaquin and Jordan for political leadership.

When asked by the interviewer: “your two sons have recent days, been frequently seen with you in public: at events and commissioning of projects; are you grooming them for politics and political leadership?”

Nyesom Wike responded to the question by asking the interviewer if it was wrong for him to be preparing his two sons for political leadership.

The former governor also refuted the report that he is sick, had suffered paralysis when he reportedly fell in the presidential villa in April.

According to Wike, the report of his being sick and suffering stroke is untrue. He said nothing of such happened to him and that he is hale and hearty. He enjoined the interviewers to take proper look at him whether he does not look like a man in his 30s. Wike explained further that those peddling rumour of his being sick are his haters who do not wish him well.

Recall that Wike in April was reported to have collapsed and immediately rushed abroad for medical treatment. The speculation had it that the FCT minister suffered paralysis which affected his left leg and arm. Though a few days after the report, Nyesom Wike was spotted with other dignitaries who paid Sallah homage to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Aso Rock.

His other public appearances followed up with the Aso Rock Sallah visit to give credibility to the claim by his media aide of his being hale and hearty. But another video of the minister emerged on social media in which he looked emaciated and walked uncomfortably as he dragged his left foot.
