Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai whose name has been a frequent feature in news headlines recently, claims that the National Security Adviser (NSA) to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nuhu Ribadu is suffering amnesia; mental illness which makes an individual forget things.
Nasir El-rufai made the remark in response to Nubu Ribadu’s denial through his lawyer of describing Bola Ahmed Tinubu, George Akume, and Orji Uzor Kalu as the most corrupt governors in 2006 while he served as the chairman of the economic and financial crime commission (EFCC).
Former commissioner to the Nigeria Police Service Commission, Hajia Muhammad in a recent TikTok video, questioned Nuhu Ribadu’s integrity; citing his discrediting remark about Bola Ahmed Tinubu, George Akume, and Orji Uzor Kalu in 2006.
A remark which Nuhu Ribadu has denied to have made.
Hajia noted that despite Nuhu Ribadu’s negative opinion about Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he has become an integral part of a system he was critical of.
Interestingly, Nasir El-rufai who was a member of the Federal Executive Council in 2006, has insisted that Nuhu Ribadu made the said controversial statement about Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He pointed out that Nuhu Ribadu accused Bola Ahmed Tinubu, George Akume and Orji Uzor of being the persons stealing the most money in the country during a federal council executive meeting in 2006.
El-Rufai added that the record of the statement made by Nubu Ribadu can be found at the secretariat of the secretary of the federal government.
“The conclusions of the Federal Executive Council in 2006, which can be subpoenaed from the Cabinet Secretariat of the SGF’s office contain the allegations. In that Special FEC meeting in which I was a member, Nuhu’s EFCC made similar presentations accusing many sitting officials, sometime in 2006”.
