How Fubara is the one delaying his reinstatement – Wike reveals

Former governor of Rivers state and minister for the federal capital territory, Nyesom Wike has suggested that suspended governor of Rivers state, Sim Fubara is the one delaying his reinstatement.
Former governor Nyesom Wike while speaking in an interview with BBC Pigin, revealed that he is open to reconciliation with his successor amid their political tussle in Rivers state. Wike stated that governor Fubara whom he refered to as his “boy” and “political son” has the “yam” and the “knife in his hands”. This implies that Fubara has his destiny in his hands and would determine whether or not they would reconcile.
Nyesom Wike added that he did not at any time anticipate what played out in Rivers state. According to him, he did not fight Fubara but those around him who were reaping where they did not sow.
He revealed that those behind the political crisis in Rivers state are politicians such George Sekibo and Celestine Omehia who were enjoying what they did not work for and we’re also misleading Fubara.
Wike further revealed that he had told governor Fubara when he visited him to seek forgiveness that he had all the cards in his hands and that he alone will determine the path he would go.
Wike while reacting to claims by many that he loves crises stated that those who make such statements about him hate him. He said they are his political enemies who do not want to see things from their real nature. He explained that the action he has taken against Fubara for his rebellion is also how he would handle any of his biological son who rebelled against him.
However, while efforts are being made towards lifting Fubara’s six month suspension, the embattled governor in his recent public statement, expressed his disinterestedness in the position of the governor of Rivers state. He urged his supporters and those agitating for his reinstatement to desist from making such demands in manner that could further affect the peace of the state.
