Hakeem Baba-Ahmed reveals the strategy and the politician PDP needs to defeat Tinubu in 2027
Political adviser Hakeem Ahmed has disclosed the exact tactics the People’s Democratic Party could employ in the 2027 polls to eliminate the APC from the presidential seat. He released this information during a Politics Today session with Seun from Channels TV on Thursday, 1st of May.
The political adviser stated that the best category of candidate the PDP could bring out as their flag bearer is a young blood without baggage or any form of skeleton in his cupboard. With such a type of presidential candidate, the PDP will be positioned to flip APC over, thereby sacking President Tinubu from the presidential seat in 2027. He also asserted that a young person with age and health inside and a person who would not come off as a liability to the party.
To buttress his point, Baba-ahmed described the current component of the ruling party, stating that most of the new members are liabilities to the party, as many of them are either avoiding the Economic and Financial Crime Commission or are looking for a political office to occupy.
The political advisor assured Seun that at the APC’s current stage, if the PDP decides to put his strategy into use, the APC will not win the presidency, as it has become a political refugee camp.
In the same vein, he addressed the issue of Atiku coming out as PDP’s flagbearer. He disclosed that if given the opportunity to sit in the room as the former VP, he would advise him to let go of his presidential ambition, pick a young blood, and groom him into the position.
Meanwhile, Baba-Ahmed isn’t the first person to advise the PDP and Atiku to give room for younger blood. Recall that earlier in the Primate Ayodele, known for his controversial statement, had advised the PDP not to sell the presidential ticket to the ex-VP. He also addressed Atku, advising him to forgo his dream and support a young blood to bear the party’s flag. Also, took the same route. He advised Atiku to step aside from the race, pick a suitable young person to mentor into the position.
Netizens, on the other hand, have gathered around Channels TV’s X comment section. Some have described Baba-Ahmed as a person with no knowledge of political skills. Some asked if the young person was LP’s Peter Obi, and queried if a 61-year-old qualifies as a youth.
