Fubara Has Met The Condition Given to Him by Tinubu in London–Insider Reveals
Deposed governor of Rivers, Siminalayi Fubara has reportedly apologized to his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
Reports claim that the suspended governor was at the home of the FCT Minister to ask for forgiveness. He made this visit not long after his meeting with president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London.
Further reports noted that Governor Sim was taken into Wike’s home in Abuja by an ex Ogun State governor, Olusegun Osoba and the state’s governor Dapo Abiodun. Sources also revealed that when it was time for the Rivet State governor’s successor to apologize, the suspended governor was down on his belly in prostration held Wike by the leg, and hailed him his oga.
It was further revealed that the suspended governor arrived Wike’s residence on the 18th of APril and was there until early hours of the next day, April 19th.
While the outcome of the meeting is kept a secret due to the tight-lipped nature of the familiar faces present, Siminalayi has been instructed to gather his well-wishers, the elders, and others and honestly reveal to them the details of the squabble between him and his former godfather.
Meanwhile, Wike’s SSA on Media and communication, Mr. Lere was contacted in a bid to get more information about the outcome of the meeting, he disclosed that the meeting took place, but he has no access to the information being asked of him. When Fubara’s spokesperson was reached out to, he asserted that he does not have access to the information and redirected the reporters to the state’s commissioner for information. Mr. Joseph Johnson who has been unreachable.
Fubara’s reconciliation move as advised by president Bola Ahmed aims at resolving his longstanding feud with Wike. Previous attempt different prominent persons to reconcile the duo ended in fiasco. It got to the point where President TInubu had to step in with his office, suspending the governor for 6 months, alongside his vice and the state’s lawmakers while a sole administrator was appointed to man the state.
