The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has arrested Igbo born billionaire Nigerian socialite, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel widely known as E-money.
E-money was arrested by the anticraft agency on the 28th of April, 2025. Reliant Nigeria News learnt that the reason for his arrest is over alleged naira abuse.
E-money who is known for his public display of his affluence is accused of abusing naira notes at social function; an act the Nigeria’s government considers criminal.
E-money is said have been arrested by EFCC in Lagos over his alleged abuse of naira notes at the Obi Cubana 50th birthday celebration. Reports say so many celebrities who attended the Obi Cubana 50th birthday celebration in Abuja are also in EFCC’s list and will be arrested to face the law.
Recall that Cubana Chief priest, E-money fellow socialite was in 2024, arrested and prosecuted by the EFCC over naira abuse. Also, cross gender dresser, Bobrisky in 2024 was convicted and sentenced to six month of imprisonment for naira abuse.
