Ebuka Obi asks police to arrest Sowore, gives reason

Evangelist Ebuka Obi, the founder of Zion Prayer Outreach has urged the Nigeria police to take action against Omoleye Sowore, prominent Nigerian activist.

In a statement released to the public by Ebuka Obi’s media aide, Dan Aibangbe, he appeals to the police to invite Omoleye Sowore for interrogation over his allegations against Ebuka Obi.

Ebuka Obi accuses Sowore of using his online newspaper, Sahara Reporters to make false claims about him. According to him, Sowore through Sahara Reporters claims that he influenced the Nigeria Police Commission to dismiss three police officers.

He said the publication is false, defamatory, scandalous and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and damage the impeccable and non-controversial reputation of evangelist Ebuka Obi.

Dan Aibangbe explained that the incident which resulted in the dismissal of the three police officers by the Nigeria Police Commission had been revealed by police spokesperson, Muyiwa Ogunjobi who disclosed that the dismissed police officers were dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force after being found guilty of engaging in illegal duty, stealing, and gross misconduct.

Dan Aibangbe thereafter accuses Sowore of cyber bullying, criminal libel and an attempt to deliberately defame the character of evangelist Ebuka Obi. Hence, he appealed to the Nigeria police to invite Omoloye Sowore for interrogation.
