Senator Ned Nwoko finally speaks on Chika Ike pregnancy rumour

Senator Ned Nwoko has debunked the unconfirmed report that he has plans to take Chika Ike as his 7th wife following the child she allegedly had for him. On Monday, 17th February, recall that the internet went amok over reports that stated that the Nollywood actress bore a child for the senator and he had planned to take her in as his 7th wife. Later that day, the senator cum businessman took to his Instagram page where he released an official statement debunking the entire rumour. The statement titled, “Official Statement by the Director of Communication,” stated that the senator’s office saw the rumor and “that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”

In the same vein, the official statement addressed another rumour that claimed that the senator had made a statement during the 2face-Annie Idibia saga. The rumour had it that he had used the word, polygamist in referring to 2face. The statement however stated that “as a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories,” therefore, the claims are untrue.

Further, the statement which was accompanied by two images that showed the Senator, Regina Daniels and their children stressed that the senator was on a national assignment, and was focused on delivering “his political mandate,” and therefore would have no time for any form of distraction. Rounding up, the document noted that the Senator’s office was open to journalists for verification of information, and also would remind users of the internet and the rest of the media of the repercussions of spreading fake news.

Netizens have trooped to the comment to drop different reactions. Some claim it is the 6th wife’s “hand writing.” Others told the senator to address the rumour of him fathering Chika Ike’s child. Another group persistently queried Regina Daniels for deactivating her social media account.

However, His 6th wife, the Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has not made a statement yet even though her Instagram account was deactivated almost the same time the rumor of Chika Ike’s gist flew around.
