Pastor Jerry Eze, the founder and Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, has addressed the inconsistency of engaging in spiritual practices like fasting while participating in immoral activities. In one of his recent sermons, he stated, “You can’t be on a 21-day fast and be sleeping with other people’s husbands. Don’t be a prayer point for another woman.”
Pastor Jerry Uchechukwu Eze, born on August 22, 1982, in Bende, Abia State, Nigeria. He began his ministerial journey in 2009 as a youth pastor at All Saints Chapel in Umuahia. In December 2013, he established Streams of Joy International, which has expanded to over 15 branches worldwide, including locations in Nigeria, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Raised by a single Christian mother, Pastor Eze’s early life was marked by poverty, which he credits for deepening his faith and commitment to God’s work. He is married to Eno Jerry, the resident pastor of The Refreshing Point, an arm of Streams of Joy International, and the convener of the Pastors’ Wives and Women in Ministry Conference. The couple has two children: a daughter named Samara and a son, Jerry Jr.
Pastor Eze is also the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), a popular online prayer platform known for the tagline, “What God cannot do, does not exist.” This platform has garnered a global following, with daily live-streamed prayer sessions attracting participants from various countries. He has been known to address issues related to marital fidelity and the importance of maintaining a righteous lifestyle during spiritual exercises.
