Nigeria’s former presidential aide Reno omokri had called out the former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai for cancelling his plans to study abroad alleging that he is afraid of being arrested by President Trump of the United States of America.

Few days ago, it was reported that El-Rufai, who was in Egypt, had taken to his X to address the rumour of him about to be arrested by NSA’s office due to his recent criticism of the current government. In that tweet, the former governor asserted that he’d spend more time in Nigeria because his political adversaries want him to be exiled out of Nigeria. In line with his plan , the ex FCT minister decided to pause his plans to study abroad. He said, “They have sent such similar messages of intimidation and threats through many of my friends, family and political associates because they want me to go on self-imposed exile. I will not.”

However, Reno on his post on his social media has countered El-Rufai’s claim. He claims that the ex governor is afraid of being arrested by Trump due to his indictment. Reno further alleges that El-Rufai has been indicted for threatening to return European Union observers home in bodybags during the 2019 election. Also, Omori asserted that he was also in trouble for paying herders to kill Christians in Southern Kaduna.

To buttress his point, Reno added, “It may be recalled that Nasir el-Rufai publicly admitted to paying killer herdsmen, an admission that did not go down well with the pro-religious freedom Trump administration.”

Further, the controversial Reno added that his statement about the European Union observer in 2019 and his admission to have paid herdsmen to kill Christian are what has prevented him from travelling. This according to Reno is because President Donald Trump made a statement about going after leaders who target Christian. Trump made good on his words by setting up a task force for that on the 6th of February.

Concluding his post, Reno added that, “Exactly five days after President Trump set up that task force, Malam Nasir el-Rufai manufactured the excuse that President Bola Tinubu wanted to arrest him, so he cancelled all his plans to study abroad.”
