Dj Renowned Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Kulet, has officially announced the end of her eight-month marriage to Ohis Emmanuel, citing infidelity, abuse, and deeply disturbing allegations.
The DJ took to Facebook to share her ordeal in a post that has since sparked widespread reactions. She detailed her decision to sever ties with her former husband, accusing him of egregious actions, including paedophilia and a pattern of predatory behavior.
In her post, DJ Kulet stated:
“I, DJ KULET, am publicly disassociating myself from my ex-husband, Ohis Emmanuel (aka Benjamin), due to his egregious and reprehensible actions. Despite overwhelming evidence (including chats, photos, videos, and voice notes) of his infidelity, he has refused to change his ways.”
She revealed that she initially forgave his infidelity after he attributed his actions to external influences. However, further investigations led to more shocking discoveries. Among them was a video confession dated December 28, 2024, in which Emmanuel admitted to sexually abusing his 20-year-old cousin and her friend. The abuse resulted in the cousin contracting an infection.
“The final straw,” DJ Kulet said, “was the shocking discovery of his prolonged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old minor, which occurred under my roof for six months.”
DJ Kulet further disclosed that her brief marriage had taken a toll on her physical and emotional health. “In our short-lived marriage of less than 8 months, I have treated infections three times. As a VICTIM myself, I feel compelled to expose individuals like him to protect others,” she added.
The DJ’s post concluded with a call to action for the public to remain vigilant and hold perpetrators accountable.
This revelation has ignited extensive conversations on social media, with many commending DJ Kulet’s bravery in speaking out. Her decision to go public has also shed light on the importance of addressing abuse within relationships and safeguarding vulnerable individuals, particularly minors.
The Nigerian entertainment industry and its supporters have expressed solidarity with DJ Kulet. Advocates for women’s and children’s rights have emphasized the need for stricter laws and societal awareness to combat predatory behavior.
As of now, Ohis Emmanuel has not issued a public response to the allegations. Efforts to reach him for comments have been unsuccessful.
