Lateef Adedimeji and Adebimpe Oyebade
Nigerian actor, Adedimeji Lateef has reacted to claims that his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade is barren.
The actor explained that his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade was called a barren by an online troll. He said he was alerted one day by his wife who showed him on her phone how social media trolls called her a barren woman.
According to Adedimeji Lateef, he encouraged his wife to disregard such remarks from social media trolls who taunt her. He enjoined her to wait on God’s time as they would have their own child within God’s time.
“My wife called me one day, she said Ade they have started again, she then showed me her phone where a troll called her barr£n.
I told her to pay no attention to them, because when it’s God’s time we will have our own child”, Adedimeji Lateef said.
Adebimpe Oyebade got married to Adedimeji Lateef in 2021, about three years after their widely broadcasted marriage, the partner still await their first child to complement their enviable marriage. Their marriage has been devoid of the usual celebrity marriage scandals and controversies.
Speaking to the Sun Newspaper in 2022 about how he met his wife, Adedimeji Lateef revealed that he had met her on a movie set where both of them worked and featured in a movie. He said people who saw how they related freely and courteously admired their friendship which at that time was devoid of any amorous engagement. Consequently, their casual friendship would blossom into something serious, and with a sincerity of purpose, they ended up getting married to each other in 2021.
Speaking on whether his friendship with Adebimpe Oyebade, his wife continued after they got married, the actor revealed that they were friends before they got married and have remained friends irrespective of the characteristic infighting that punctuate marriages. According to him, he is happy with his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade whom he said is his friend.
When posed a question about divorce, the actor did not rule of the controversial topic; he said divorce can be resorted to by partners when the union becomes life-threatening, emotional-damaging, and mental health denting.
